Look for me working in the garden!
My first antiques purchase at age eleven ignited the proverbial collecting bug. My love of early American country pieces probably stems from my Pennsylvania roots where the War of 1812 cannonballs lined the windowsills of my great-grandfather's homestead. Living with early pieces was commonplace in our family and items were handed down with pride from generation to generation.
After study at Detroit Historical Museum and a position as a museum curator I started my antiques business in 1977 and have been selling to the public ever since!
My husband and I proudly offer American country furniture and accessories c. 1750-1900 in both early attic surface and original painted finish. In addition to furniture we carry painted bowls, yellow ware, china, salt-glazed stoneware, lithographs, oil paintings, tin ware and vintage clothing. We also stock a small assortment of hand-made "go-withs" such as candle tapers and penny rugs that are a charming addition to your antique-filled home.
Check us out on facebook where we always preview fresh items to the shop and announce upcoming shows and news of the "Antique Trail Event". We hope you stop in during our local tourist season: April through October. We are open Wed-Friday by chance or appointment after 12 pm and Sat - . Sun 10-5. Our gardens are also open on selected days and we always have a sparkling view of Lake Huron. See you soon!
